They may have been called for by the hospital or home where your loved one lived, or you yourself called them if they were living with you. Please note that you do not have to use the funeral director you was provided with. You can use any funeral director of your choice to help you prepare for the funeral. The priest can help you chose a Funeral Director if you're not sure who to have.
Once you have chosen your Funeral Director, book an appointment with them to discuss the funeral arrangements. If you're not sure of your choices of a Catholic Funeral, then the priest can advise you. These pages are to help inform you of what is available for you to have a Catholic Funeral for your loved one. If your loved one wasn't Catholic, then speak to the priest who will advise you.
